Being the Operations Manager I am tasked with providing structured leadership to a 24/7 team of 10, carrying out day-to-day OCC control and communications in a busy operational environment. The role of the operations department is to provide 24H support to brokers, clients and operators, being a safety net to recover from any unexpected issues. Using air traffic management systems to flight watch and proactively be informed and prepared for any operational eventuality that could cause disruption and providing subsequent recovery options to return to business as usual.In 2018 I graduated with a First Class Honors Degree in Airline and Airport Management from the University of West London after having successfully completed 18 months of Aviation industry placement.I completed a year-long placement with Heathrow Airport Limited as an Airport Operations Intern. Here I gained Airport wide exposure as a member of the Airport Operations Centre (APOC) team, Business Resilience and Crisis Management teams. These operational duties gave me high-levels of responsibility in daily operational challenges across all functions, as well as a range of Airport transformation and regulatory projects.
