Back End Engineer
CurrentI am a software engineer in FIFGROUP Digital Leads team that is responsible for fulfilling digital strategy missions: Leads Handling Infrastructure, Customer Journey All LOB, Order Tracking Enhancement, and Enable Digital Assets as Leads. Here are some of my tasks:1. Create process in microservice for the needs of leads journey from all LOB with source input come from digital applications such as FIFADA and the official website. It is recorded that more than 10,000 requests per minute go through the digital leads process and more than 500 thousand leads every month go through the digital leads process.2. Implementing automation process using flowable in microservice applications to run business processes in the form of a Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN). The generated file in XML form will be run on the microservice machine. One of the examples is that when the server meets an error, the process will not just stop because each activity will be recorded in the database and the process will be re-run after a specified number of minutes. The flow of leads will also be maintained because each process will return a value which will be the key to determining the next process.3. Create an automatic scheduling process to carry out routine processes, including: the process of terminating expired leads according to the parameters in CMS and carrying out the daily booking matching process.4. API documentation using swagger to simplify the endpoint testing process.5. Build features in the CMS for the leads management process, setting parameters for scheduler, tracking leads, and control the flow of the leads.6. Implement RabbitMQ as a message broker to run processes that involve large amounts of data. RabbitMQ allows process queues to be run with round robin scheduling so that data reliability is maintained.
Full-Stack Developer
1. SIMASTIK. I am fullstack developer at DITGRASI USU that collaborated with the USU Finance Bureau in creating a system called Asset and Logistics Management Information System (USU SIMASTIK) using PHP, Laravel and MySQL tech stack. This application is useful for recording assets of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, both in tangible and non-tangible assets. As a programmer, my responsibilities are:a. Build a front-end display as well as processes on the back-end side for the CRUD function of system to record items along with the description, number of units, and initial price of each asset. Create a system to track the historical location of placement and movement of each item. Create calculation of the depreciation value and final value of the assets each semester (done using the scheduler).b. Create a report system that can be fulfilled the needs of USU Finance Bureau Team, such as: a report of all assets in each faculty, a report on the transfer of grant assets (which can be used as an accountability report to stakeholders), and report on the final value of all USU assets used for annual reports to the Indonesia Ministry of Finance.2. Official website of Universitas Sumatera Utara. I was part of the USU Official Website Development Acceleration Team to increase the campus website ranking at the international level, Webometrics. As a full stack developer, I am responsible for:a. Create layout designs for the front-end display of faculty sub-websites and study program sub-websites at the University of North Sumatra using basic HTML, CSS and JS.b. Create CRUD operations for website management CMS using Laravel and MySQL. Creation of admin level systems (contributor, writer, admin, super admin), and CRUD work unit content management.c. Collaborating with the Information Systems Center (PSI USU) to develop the official main website page display using ReactJS.d. Building CMS sub-features for the website's main page, namely: campus activities and agendas.
Back End Developer
I was back-end developer at Telkom Indonesia with an internship duration of 6 months. In this activity, my team and I built a knowledge management system application called Digiknow. I learned many valuable lessons, one of those are:1. Using Laravel as a framework to build monolithic application. The repository, controller, service, and view in one application so it is suitable for short duration application development.2. Maintaining data security, one of which is from query injection experiments by using Laravel's built-in object-relational mapper (ORM), namely Eloquent because every input will be treated as a string even though there are SQL commands in it. Eloquent in Laravel is also useful for speeding up the development process because there is no need to create raw queries.3. Applying the agile method in the development process with the Scrum framework: Conducting a daily stand up for 30 minutes to report the progress of each member, conducting a sprint review and sprint retrospective every 2 weeks, and making logging (task list, on progress, finished, and blocking) every activity in Jira.4. Initialize the data using seeding features provided by the built-in function in Laravel so that the needs of mockup data can be fulfilled quickly.5. As an individual, I have successfully completed all assigned tasks and as a team we have succeeded in developing the product to fulfill stakeholders’ needs. Some of the features that I have successfully developed include CRUD posting features for users and admins in CMS, follower-following features, post comment features, post like features, user profile management, and admin accessibility level management features.
Laboratory Assistant
I have been a laboratory assistant since semester 3 and served for 6 semesters (3 years) with total of 24 classes. In 2020 when Covid-19, I became the first assistant to be initiator of IKLC learning videos for online classes. I see that there is anomaly from learning pace of each practitioner. Learning videos are needed so that practitioners can replay as much as they needed. Of course, these videos are made based on campus curriculum references.I was elected as secretary in semester 5. My best policy at that time was to digitalize report of attendance, memorandum of understanding, and proof of teaching in a single place (drive) making it easier to report accountability to the faculty and other stakeholder. As the general administrator of IKLC, I am actively involved in discussions with campus officials regarding to curriculum design and teaching methods. As a laboratory assistant and lecturer's right-hand man, I always ensure that each practitioner understands the lesson given, one of them is by taking my free time to answer the practitioner's questions and provide the necessary solutions properly. I also often hold one-on-one sessions with practitioners to achieve my vision of "binding knowledge by teaching it to others".
