From being a literary magazine copyeditor in college, associate editor for a small press afterwards, to being the senior associate copywriter for a software marketing company now, I am well-versed in the editing process. I'm adaptable and efficient, and I'm looking forward to seeing my own proficiency grow through new experiences and different styles of copywriting.I received my Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing with a minor in Honors- Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Central Arkansas in May 2020. I also participated in volunteer work with the C.D. Wright Women's conference and Bear's Boots on the Ground during my time at UCA, as well as working for Sibling Rivalry Press as an intern, now associate editor. I am passionate about creative content, accessibility, and community engagement.As a Schedler's Honors College graduate and active volunteer, I am well-versed in APA, MLA, and Chicago style, as well as plot analysis, cultural research and application. I presented my research on clichè and its importance within media as my dissertation in May 2020. As a Creative Writing graduate, I am advanced in content creation and have experience drafting documents with varying stipulations and audiences.In my previous role as the Copy Editor for Vortex Literary Magazine, University of Central Arkansas, I organized and formatted student's work, as well as editing it for clarity, rhythm, and correctness. I've worked in group workshops, 1:1 peer edits, and remotely on my own.In my role as an Associate Editor for Sibling Rivalry, I edited content in a variety of creative process stages for publication. I’ve also helped with in-person marketing events such as book launches, author readings, conferences, and festivals. I have an eye for detail and information design, and I have a passion for making information accessible for the broad audience.Now, as a Senior Associate Copywriter at Frequence Inc., my skills have been adapted to marketing and advertising. I write and review copy for display ads, SEM ads, emails, landing pages, social, slides, websites, and commercial scripts. With Frequence I am also a Member of our ERG, Creative Culture, focused on bringing coworkers together and enriching the workspace. With them I help plan events, assist in team building activities, and write for content we push internally. I also do research and development for Future Tools, a group dedicated to exploring the powers and pitfalls of Artificial Intelligence in the creative world.
