http://www.tasc-actuaries.com/My training was based on the actuarial valuation of employees’ end-of-service benefits. My role and how my training went are:1) During the first month, I was introduced to the work nature through weekly meetings via Microsoft Teams, in which everything about the process of the actuarial valuation was explained clearly and precisely.2) Help the team with checking and cleaning the raw data sent by the client and needed for the valuation. This is done via a specialized Excel model built to check almost all possible data errors and summarize them in an engaging way.3) Sharing the data with the client and provide some insights and suggestions, if any, after the process of data checking and validation.4) Preparing and running the actuarial valuation model built by the head actuary. This is regularly done after getting the confirmed data from the client, followed by a meeting with the head actuary and the other team members to discuss the actuarial assumptions that are suitable and might be different from one project to another.5) Help with the first round of going through the actuarial valuation reports, before any necessary adjustments are made by the more experienced team members.
