Alaa Sultan is a 24-year-old graduate of the Faculty of Arts, Tanta University, where she majored in English and Translation. With a passion for reading, learning, and photography, Alaa has built a diverse skill set through both her professional and volunteer experiences.Since completing high school, she has worked in various roles, including as a sales agent and an English teacher. In 2022, she began her journey in volunteering, starting with the Egyptian Red Crescent, where she contributed to relief efforts for the victims of the Syria and Turkey earthquakes by raising financial aid. Alaa then expanded her volunteer work by joining the public relations team at Western Civilization and later becoming an active member of the Jesuit Cultural Center in Alexandria, where she helped organize international cultural events.In late 2023, Alaa participated in an entrepreneurship training program with Caritas Alexandria in collaboration with UNHCR, where she developed Ensya, a brand focused on heritage preservation and women's empowerment, which is currently in its implementation phase. She is also part of Sustania, an initiative aimed at promoting sustainability and empowering women, formed during the Active Communities training with Empower Hub and the British Council.Alaa also volunteered at the Scholarship Academy as a mentor to 10 students, helping them with their assignments and guiding them to reach their goals. She also participated in the Wavemakers summer camp and with her team gave an online English skills session to more than 250 people between the ages of 15 and 18.Alaa is passionate about entrepreneurship, communicating with people, constantly learning, and exploring new ideas, which she believes is key to personal and professional growth.
