The duties of the I/T Manager position included the following:a) Providing leadership and direction to a department of 29 I/T staff, including 4 Supervisors.b) Preparing and executing Yemen I/T workforce plans.c) Preparing and executing annual I/T Budgets.d) Initiating and directing I/T projects. e) Implementing strategic goals and technical standards as determined by Corporate I/T.f) Co-ordinating the acquisition of radio licensing and permits.g) Identifying and responding to cross-cultural needs within the workplace.h) Planning, architecting, purchasing and implementing technical software applications. These included geological, geophysical and engineering applications for the Technical Services Department (a.k.a Reservoir Development Department) in Yemen.
