I plan to further my education by attending a graduate program in Social Work or School Psychology.     Placed with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa to develop an Opportunities for Post-Secondary Success program. Through FLIA, I had the opportunity to attend a week long retreat training on Trauma Informed Care, diversity, workplace collaboration, and problem solving. Individually fundraised $500+ and published three blog posts exploring social issues in Central Iowa and nonprofit professional development. The program I am developing consists of workshops to further build on skills in 3 areas: Career Development, Academic Success, and College Readiness. During my time here I have developed an enrollment plan, established partnerships with area organizations, and coordinated speakers for individual events.
