About Al Adamsen

I help leaders and leadership teams get where they want to go. Through the mindful application of science-back behaviors, practices, and research, I help individuals, teams, groups, and organizations form constructive habits and, in turn, create positive cultures, enhance customer connections, and improve business results. My approach stems from over 30 years of professional experience, including my own journey of self-exploration, mindfulness, and education. Along the way I've had the great fortune of advising, learning from, and co-creating with leaders from around the world. More specifically, I've gone deep into how data-based information networks, and now Ai, affect individual and group decision-making. Elevating consciousness in this area certainly helps leaders and leadership teams reduce risk and increase the probability their decisions reap the desired return. As important, if not more so, such awareness also helps improve the human experience at work, something to which I've long been committed, and will remain committed. My work has inspired to create the People Data for Good Podcast, a collection of stories and leading practices that promotes the ethical and responsible use of people data, analytics, and Ai for the benefit of individuals, teams, groups, organizations, and society at large. • Perceptyx
Svp Of Leader & Workforce Transformation
    Perceptyx Jan 2024 - Oct 2024
    Temecula, Ca, Us
Led Research, Consulting, & Behavioral Science at Perceptyx. I had the honor of serving a truly exceptional group of organizational psychologists and research professionals as they helped executives, leaders, and other change agents create and sustain healthy organizational and team cultures. This group -- comprised of behavioral scientists within the newly created Center for Workforce Transformation (CWT) and consultants within the newly created Leader & Workforce Transformation Practice -- embeds insights, leading practices, and ideas into the software platform and advisory services so that, in turn, positive, planned change can happen at speed, at scale, and in sustainable ways. I also had the good fortune of representing Perceptyx via thought leadership, blogs, webinars, and conference speaking. In summary, I created the pricing and packaging related to consulting services and up-leveled the value proposition to go beyond employee surveys, employee listening, and even employee experience, and step into leader and workforce transformation, a legacy that continues to this day.

We also facilitate relationships with technology vendors, service providers, academics, and others innovating in the people analytics space. Finally, through the Global People Analytics Network, we're bringing the whole people analytics community together. Leveraged Carol Dweck's research on Growth Mindset, among other psychological and behavioral science constructs, both inside and outside of sports, to help elevate self-awareness, compassion, and the application of mindful ways to better empower young athletes. In the end, we employed a "Double-Goal Coach" approach, one that focused on winning yet, more importantly, also focused on creating a positive, confidence-building experience through youth sports. Trained and mentored new trainers coming into the Positive Coaching Alliance, as well as promoted the program through the Character Combine, a one-day event that I co-created that assessed, developed, and celebrated character in high school and youth sports.
