Alain E. Andrea is a Doctor of Pharmacy graduate from Saint-Joseph University of Beirut. Specialised in molecular genetics research, he is the author of several scientific publications dedicated to the fields of cancer immunotherapy and gene therapy, conducted alongside leading researchers in the field, including Professor Salima Hacein-Bey-Abina, a pioneer in the success of the first clinical trial in gene therapy. He has worked in various sectors related to the pharmaceutical and research fields, serving as a responsible pharmacist in community pharmacy, medical writer in clinical research, and currently holding the position of research associate.Furthermore, having received formal training as a pianist at the Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of Music, he has developed his critical thinking in arts and music under the guidance of prominent masters and eminent musical figures of the 20th century, such as Gilles Cantagrel, Henri Goraïeb, Bernard Fournier, André Lischke, Gilbert Amy, Nidaa Abou Mrad, but also the Lebanese-French poet, Alain Tasso, with whom he refined his rhetoric and developed his aesthetic reflection on the word. Recipient of several literary and cultural awards, including the Ghassan Tueni Cultural Award in 2013, he is a music critic and scientific journalist in the Lebanese Francophone press, with over a hundred articles published in Lebanon and abroad. Renowned virtuosos, including Martha Argerich, Boris Berezovsky, and Yo-Yo Ma, have been featured in his writings. He is also the biographer of two eminent musical personalities, Henri Goraïeb and Gilbert Amy, and is preparing to publish several works.
