Previous experiences: As a Strategic Communications Student Assistant for the University of Maryland Softball team, I served as the primary liaison for all communication endeavors. My responsibilities include curating compelling social media content to elevate the team's presence and foster enhanced fan engagement. On game days, I represented the department as a gameday communications representative, collaborating closely with the head contact for Softball to ensure seamless coordination of media activities and timely updates.I oversaw 23 club sports supervisors, ensuring smooth operations and safety. Managing budgets exceeding $350,000 allocated by the SGA, I handled paperwork each semester. Acting as a liaison, I attended meetings between supervisors and the club sports director. I also organized weekly meetings for traveling teams, focusing on itinerary and safety checks.In addition to these roles I have been an active member of the UMD RecWell Student Employee Advisory Board (SEAB) since Fall 2022. I advocated for the interests of club sports department employees, addressing various concerns such as payroll, sexual harassment, and policy matters during monthly meetings.Furthermore, I have served as the Chair of the Marketing Committee for UMD Club Sports since Spring 2022. In this leadership role, I oversaw a dedicated team of staff members, ensuring the quality and consistency of our social media presence. My responsibilities extend to the meticulous curation and finalization of content across all official club sports platforms.Lastly, I was the Vice President of the UMD Club Swim team from Spring 2023 to December 2024. In collaboration with fellow executive members and the president, I played a vital role in organizing swim meets, social events, formals, travel arrangements, and team apparel, contributing to the overall success and cohesion of our team.
