In this role, I am responsible for planning strategic, high-quality, and meaningful events that align with Earthjustice's values and objectives. I collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders to identify meeting goals, develop agendas, and coordinate program components, including speakers. With a focus on sustainability, I ensure our events have minimal impact on local environments and communities. Additionally, I maintain accountability for all event logistics and manage vendor relationships. By analyzing event data and implementing pre and post-event evaluations, I continuously strive for improvement and success.

In 2022 events have moved from virtual to hybrid. So far this year my team and I have successfully executed a combination of 14 virtual, hybrid, and in-person retreats. I have researched and implemented best practices for in-person COVID-safe events. I have drafted an inclusive meetings guide for large and small events, and managed the redesign of my team's intranet page.In 2020 there have been many challenges, especially for meetings and events. This year I dedicated my time to building connections across departments through virtual team retreats and orientations. I successfully transitioned already scheduled in-person meetings to the virtual realm while keeping the event interactive and upholding the spirit of fun and creativity. I documented processes for and trained staff on Bluejeans Events and Zoom webinar. I lead a production team for, and host, our all-staff calls, moderating staff questions, and ensuring the calls run smoothly. I have documented best practices for virtual meetings and researched ways to keep virtual meetings inclusive.

Seeing how planning meetings and events at growing companies can fall on administrative professionals, thereby leaving them out during the execution of the meeting, which can lead to feelings of exclusion, I saw a need for a full-time, internal events team at Earthjustice. My colleague and I envisioned, planned, and proposed a new team for approval. After a formal review process, and discovering there was a need, the Internal Events team was created,On a team of three, we planned and executed org-wide meetings and retreats, ranging from 10-350 attendees. Marketed the value of having an internal events team and how utilizing our team was a push for inclusion, sustainability, and standardization.

In addition to office managerial responsibilities, I vetted and implemented a new relationship with a travel agency, consolidating bookings. I provided guidance on hotel bookings and travel. I collaborated with executive assistants on forward-thinking meetings and events and helped plan and organize our biennial All Staff Meeting and Litigation Training Conference.
