Missions include assisting domestic schemes, banks and retailers to convert their payment systems to the EMV standard, to contactless payments or to mobile payments;- Represent Thales at the board of SPA (Smart Payment Association) an industry association of smart payment card vendors. Liaise with European stakeholders in the context of instant payments.- Lead Thales' initiatives on CBDC - Central Bank Digital Currencies. In this role, I have: + submitted to the European Central Bank a research report describing the use of Secure Elements to support consecutive offline payments + Led the Proof of Concept provided by Thales to the Bank of England for their 4-month evaluation project, including the integration with a core ledger through the Rosalind APIs + Led Thales' contribution to the Reserve Bank of Australia offline CBDC pilot. Real users with real eAUD transacted for 4 weeks using the Thales offline CBDC solution. -
