I have served as an assistant programmer and panel coordinator for both NewFest 2021 and 2022. In 2021, I programmed the Boys shorts and Sci-Fi shorts program as well as the annual episodic showcase. In addition, I assisted in the coordination of 5 virtual panels, including a 'Hightown' season 2 preview and one centering queer indigenous voices.In 2022, I programmed Boy shorts and the episodic showcase as well as the comedy shorts program. I also worked on expanding NewFest's episodic offerings that included a screening of Sleep With Me and the world premiere of Way Down. We brought in-person events back and I coordinated our intergenerational screening and conversation and a panel of LGBTQ storytellers discussing how they use social media in their work.

Helped NBC Out's managing editor with the annual Pride Month from the start through launch date. In 2019, we recognized 20 veterans of the LGBTQ-rights movement, in addition to 30 contemporary change-makers and rising stars. My tasks included helping choose the honorees, writing up profiles on those chosen and creating a social media plan for the month.

I write television recaps and preview articles to ensure shows I'm assigned are covered. In addition, I develop and write lists and feature articles, as well as particiapte in roundtable discussions, to diversify the site’s coverage.

Handled the social media distribution for NBC Out's Pride 30 list, which highlighted 30 LGBTQ change makers and rising stars during LGBTQ Pride Month, in 2017 and 2018. Managed the submissions database for OutFest Fusion Festival in order to view and grade the films submitted by filmmakers across the globe with the other consulting programmers. Also, I put together a program of short films called “Black Queer Magic: Shorts from the African Diaspora.”

Along with another editor I put together an extensive and engaging Fall Preview, comprised of unique editorials and wishlists for popular series, as well as a Marvel Week series. Using my ability with Wordpress I posted my own stories and assisted writers who were not familiar with the Content Management System. Recently I was given control of the site's social media platforms. I focused on diversifying our social media content, engaging with followers and increasing the site's online following.

Wrote entertainment news stories about the rising stars of television and film. We covered various topics including casting news, distribution deals and latest on several film festivals to keep our readers up to date on the up and coming talent in the entertainment industry. I also wrote recaps and developed original features to generate unique content for the site. My other primary duty was utilizing Up and Comers'​ Twitter account to promote the site's articles and engage with our readers.

Fielded all private messages and assessed complaints found in public comments on Facebook page. Shared Comic Book Universe articles and created engaging supplementary posts on Facebook. Worked alongside fellow writers and community managers to develop following of 33,000 followers

I wrote reviews and recaps of film and television, mainly those released on streaming services. Occasionally I published features on the entertainment industry, like "The Golden Globes Disservice to TV’s Best Supporting Actor/Actress Categories," which was written earlier this year.

As an intern my main function was working in an administrative capacity. Packaging outgoing merchandise, organizing the office space and running errands were among my duties. I was also assigned additional marketing and publicity tasks as assigned by my supervisors. As part of the programming team I assisted in the coordination of the 7th Bushwick Film Festival's series of panels. Primarily I conducted research on potential panelists and drafting invitation. My outreach duties were locating publications to write stories for both the Founder of the festival and the event itself as well as contacting the publication categorized as potential outlets to cover the Founder. Social media was another area of the festival I contributed to. Using Hootsuite and my understanding of several social media platforms I generated engaging content to raise awareness of the festival as well as promoting the various events on the programming slate.

As the sole social media intern, I was tasked with the daily management of SUNY Oswego's Career Services social media accounts. Primarily I was the link between the department and the SUNY Oswego community online. My specific duties included generating social media content and partnering with the Public Relations Intern Team to incorporate social media into campaigns. Creating lists on Twitter by industry to provide students with potential contacts and researching other university social media accounts to improve tactics were my special projects.

Assisted in the coordination of this fall's Media Summit at SUNY Oswego, an event where professionals from various communication-related careers speak to students in both classrooms and on a panel. Utilizing Facebook I increased awareness of the event on the SUNY Oswego campus and provided a space for the entire team to efficiently communicate with one another. This collaboration resulted in the effective use of each social media platform. The day of the event I escorted one of the speakers around campus for their day's events.
