Time served Merchant Navy Engineer Officer. Started out as trainee engineer cadet where I've worked on various cruise ships as part of my cadetship as well as studying full time college in between for HND in Mechanical Engineering at Glasgow College of Nautical Studies.Successfully completed my training and gained my Engineering Officer of the Watch ticket.I moved on to Offshore vessels in May 2012 and I am currently employed in the oil & gas industry onboard a dp2 deepwater anchor handler where I am involved in rig moves on a 3 year contract in Trinidad. Multi-skilled in general engineering, control systems, electrical equipment and workshop routines. Able to carry out skilled operations to a technical level and high standard under own initiative and as part of team,working with multi-national crews.Worked on heavy duty machinery that utilises Medium Speed turbocharged engines, high voltage electrical systems (Azi-pod propulsion & thrusters), high pressure hydraulic winching & crane systems.Confident with engine control room operations, paperwork and managing power plant to ensure power is always available. Experienced with AMOS & TM maintenance software.From a short term perspective I'm happy gaining experience in my current role, however in due time I would like to broaden my engineering skill set and experience by diversifying in to an engineering related role onboard subsea vessels or drilling rigs for my next step in the oil and gas industry.PLEASE ASK FOR MY CV FOR FURTHER INFORMATION
