Served as clinical and marketing manager. Responsibilities included: Management of patient care, visits to the home to insure quality assurance, management of patient charts and billing, setting up and instruction of oxygen concentrators, nebulizers, infant pneumocardiograms, esophogeal pH studies, holter monitors, infant apnea monitors, CPR and home mechanical ventilation. Also managed the development of relations between Texas Medical Diagnostics, Inc. and referring facilities.

Served as NICU Respiratory Therapist. Responsibilities included: Administration of medical gases and medications via nebulization with adjunctive chest physiotherapy, set up and maintenance of ventilatory support in the Special Care Nursery using Bear Cub and Infant Star ventilators, obtaining and running blood gas samples and member of High Risk Delivery Team.

Served as NICU Respiratory Therapist. Responsibilities included: Administration of medical gases and medications via nebulization with adjunctive chest physiotherapy, set up and maintenance of ventilatory support in the NICU using Infant Star and Sechrist ventilators, obtaining and running arterial blood gas samples, attending high risk deliveries and management of high frequency ventilation.

Served as PICU/ECMO/Transport Therapist. Responsibilities included: Administration of medical gases and medication via nebulization with adjunctive chest physiotherapy, set up and maintenance of ventilatory support in the PICU/NICU using Servo 900C and Sechrist ventilators, knowledge of troubleshooting, cleaning/sterilization and calibration of ventilators, maintenance of infant/pediatric transport bags and isolettes, transportation of acute and chronically ill children to Children’s Medical Center from surrounding regional hospitals and management of the ECMO heart/lung bypass machine. Specialized two month training program at UT Southwestern Medical Center and CareFlight of Dallas that covered aspects of airway intubation, ECMO management and ground/air ambulance training and safety.

Served as Staff Respiratory Therapist. Responsibilities included: Administration of medications via nebulization and IPPB with adjunctive chest physiotherapy, performing arterial punctures for gas determination and set-up and maintenance of ventilatory support using the Servo 900C, Puritan Bennett 7200, MA1, Emerson and Sechrist ventilators. Worked in all areas of the 400-bed county hospital, including the adjoining 90-bed children’s hospital. Areas included: General medical floors, Neuro, Adult ICU, PICU, CCU, Nursery, Rehab, Cat-Scan, Pediatric General Medicine and the Level 1 Trauma Center.
