With more than thirty years experience in watershed and channel restoration, Alan’s skills are well suited to a wide range of water resource projects. He has designed and supervised the installation of channel and fish habitat improvement structures in many rivers and streams throughout the western Canada. He has successfully implemented designs using a combination of rock, wood and/or live materials in channels ranging in size from small tributaries to major rivers. He has also estimated food levels and developed design flows for innumerable drainage basins in the province, including hydrologic modelling and regional runoff analyses. Alan was the contract Hydrologist for BCTS Kootenay Region for more than ten years providing hydrology consulting services and watershed assessment for planning and operations.
