Detail on new product plans, near-term production trends, product positioning, and segmentation analysis is also included.Provide analysis and recommendations on short- and long-term planning issues (with a special focus on market diversification both in current and potential product and market segments) for clients via customized reports, ongoing conversations with management, and planning sessions. Research methods include contact with industry participants including trade associations, current and potential customers, government reports and staff, and publicly available sources (including Internet). Clients have recently expanded beyond manufacturing firms to include financial industry participants assessing investment opportunities.Analyze impact of fuel economy requirements on industry participants and determine opportunities and threats for companies, with special analysis of alternative powertrain technologies including hybrids, diesels, and advanced internal combustion technologies. Analysis included implications and evaluation of various public policy alternatives in order to inform legislative and regulatory activity. Clients include financial institutions, foundations, and national environmental organizations.Develop and maintain forecast and provide analysis of medium/heavy-duty truck industry, including understanding impact of economic and regulatory factors that affect firms.Market products, services, and studies to prospective clients.Provide analysis in the area of customer-supplier relationships and major trends affecting OEM and component manufacturers, enabling clients to improve their position with major customers.
