My practice includes (1) commercial and residential construction and development litigation; (2) complex construction litigation (including performance and delay claims on public and private projects); (3) construction defect litigation; and (4) construction-related product liability litigation. I have served as lead trial counsel in more than 75 jury and non-jury trials and I have obtained numerous defense verdicts on behalf of clients in various types of construction, business, and insurance-driven trials. I have served as lead counsel in more than 15 arbitrations before the AAA and private arbitration panels. I represent general contractors, construction sureties, subcontractors, design professionals and owner/developers in every aspect on risk allocation methods, contract forms and litigated disputes. I counsel businesses on securing proper forms of insurance to include general liability coverage, builder’s risk coverage and securing adequate project-specific payment and performance bonds. I serve as coverage counsel to the insurance industry concerning the rights of insurers and the businesses they insure with regard to complex construction insurance coverage issues.I routinely speak at continuing education seminars for lawyers and the construction industry on construction litigation matters.
