The Felshtin Society is a not for profit, 501, c-3 association dedicated to the preservation of the memory of those who perished in the town of Felshtin, now Gvardeskoye in the Ukraine. In 1919 there was a pogrom that resulted in the slaughter of 600 of our ancestors. In WWII the remaining Jews were killed by the Nazis and their allies. We maintain memorial sites, research archival records and are completing the translation of a book depicting the life of the town before the pogrom and the events that occurred on those days in 1919.
