Alan Bobin is President and CEO of How Many Bottles, an innovative manufacturer of apparel and accessories through the use of sustainable, recycled products. The Seattle-based HMB was started in 2009 by Bobin and his business partner, David Friend. HMB recycles plastic bottles from around the world, has them turned into fibers which are then woven or knitted into various fabrics ideal for producing sportswear and related clothing products. Prior to starting HMB, Bobin was CEO and Co-Founder of the Seattle-based Sustainable Solutions Group and its Rethink brand. Bobin launched the company and pioneered early success with co-branded apparel deals through Disney stores, Diadora Sporting Apparel and more.Bobin previously served as President and CEO of Generra® Sportswear (Seattle, WA), Executive Vice President of the Cherokee® Group (Los Angeles, CA), President of Jockey for Her® Apparel (New York, NY), and President of George Lucas’ Star Wars® Children’s Apparel Division (New York, NY). Bobin’s consulting company, The Bobin Group, simultaneously coexisted throughout with a client base ranging from the “The Vertical Group”, a division of Goldman Sachs, to Household International, also known as HSBC.Bobin continues to serve his country through the Fisher House Foundation, New York. Fisher House (www.fisherhouse.org) provides free or low cost lodging to veterans and military families receiving treatment at military medical centers. Bobin also served on the board of other non-profits, including the Leukemia Research Foundation.Alan Bobin honorably served in the United States Army and later attended Northwestern University.
