During my career I have had the pleasure of working for 4 top companies, both privately owned and multinationals (including Deloitte, EY, Aspen Pharmacare and BGC Australia), holding senior management positions. My blend of skills and knowledge in the IT field has been gained through experience in a variety of roles including IT Consulting services, IT Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Business Relationship Manager and heading up IT Operations. I have delivered these services to a number of clients either whilst consulting or while being in the full-time employment of world class companies for the past 23 years.In the positions I have held I have led multilocation teams and have enjoyed the people development side of the roles too. The experience I have gained in the positions I’ve held enable me to lead global teams at a senior level and ensure that objectives are met to an exceptional standard in a suitable time frame.My key areas of expertise are technology, operations, setting and executing strategy, interpersonal relationships, leadership and commercial negotiation and management.I am currently the Head of IT Operations for BGC Australia. BGC is one of Australia’s leading vertically integrated construction material businesses with a focus on residential and commercial construction. They operate primarily out of Perth WA, with distribution activities and companies across South Australia, New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland and New Zealand. Having served as IT Manager, Service Delivery Manager and Business Relationship Manager in the past 10 years at Aspen, I was well positioned to take up the Head of IT Operations role at BGC Australia. My in-depth knowledge and experience enable me to fulfil this role of managing a dynamic team to achieve a stable environment that best facilitates the business requirements. It is imperative that the technology function works closely with and supports the business so as to be a valued enabler of business.
