I am the Program Leader for Urban Impact CRU 7v7 Football.I serve as an Urban Missionary for Urban Impact. I’ve been called to be light of hope amongst boys in the urban setting of Pittsburgh, PA. I am boots on the ground (Northside-Pittsburgh). Many of the boys ages 12-18 which I served are father-less, misguided, and are at-risk to fall victimized by the streets and their communities. I model Kingdom life, and give weekly devotionals while providing Bible Studies to build discipleships. In the fall, I serve as a Chaplain/Character Coach for 3 local high schools. As an Urban Missionary/Program Leader for Urban Impact Foundation, I provide them with opportunities to travel across country and compete in elite 7v7 football during the winter and spring. I mandate students to attend weekly Bible Studies(Huddle Groups) to teach them about the Kingdom of God. We also have devotionals at every practice and tournament trips. During the season whether it’s traveling to tournaments or Junior Days, we visit various colleges to help our students gain college exposure, tour campuses, and give personal interactions with coaches, recruiting, and academic staff.I challenge students to strive for excellence in the classroom by monitoring their grades so that it will open doors for college football recruiting. At Urban Impact, our Options department assists with post high school endeavors such as college readiness, military, ministry, and jobs. After the winter/spring 7v7 season we participate at a Summer college 7v7 tournament event. I provide a handful of students the opportunity to build and become more equip in their Christian faith. This particular group will be taken to 4-6 college Showcase Camps, and conclude their camp series at the FCA Sports Camp at Kutztown University. At the FCA Showcase Camp, for 4 impactful days they will have 2-A-Day football practices with college and high school coaches, and experience chapel/Bible studies. Our program holistically invests in the “whole person” from faith, family, football, and academics. We transform lives 1 person, 1 family, 1 block at a time.
