About Alan Bowman

From supporting research in Indonesian rainforests to experiencing more and more heatwaves while studying in Cambridge, I have seen first hand that climate change and biodiversity loss are the biggest global challenges we face. Excitingly, we have the technological capabilities to tackle these problems head on.I have devoted my career to developing technologies for a sustainable future, including for energy generation, microplastic sensing and carbon dioxide utilisation. I use spectroscopic, microscopic and modelling techniques to do this, with my work changing the development of the next generation of solar panels alongside resolving fundamental scientific problems.I have worked with scientists across continents on some of the most important problems humanity faces. I'm alway open to applying my skills on projects in any area of sustainability - don't hesitate to get in touch.
