I was responsible for the delivery of the British Gas Energy Company Obligation (ECO). ECO is a government scheme which obliges larger energy suppliers to deliver energy efficiency measures to domestic premises.Identifying and procuring new external partners capable of delivering quality insulation and boiler installations to budget and timescales.Managing overall spend in excess of £100m, across a number of suppliers.Developing and maintaining relationships with partners through a number of methods to ensure obligated / mandated business targets are reached.Effective collaboration and communication with a wide range of stakeholders, from legal and procurement to change teams, finance and HR, to meet legal and contractual requirements.Actively managing, tracking and challenging suppliers'​ performance through a number of Key Performance Indicators and through leading Monthly Business Reviews and other sessions.Influencing my team; guiding and supporting them in their journey to become high achievers.Initiating brand new commercial agreements and processes as part of business unit start up.AchievementsDelivered a significant saving against target price for the Home Heating Company Obligation element of ECO in H1 2015.Successfully ran two supplier take-on processes in H1 2015.Delivered British Gas' Energy Company Obligation targets for 2014 six months early.Strategically and, where required, tactically renegotiated pricing across all suppliers, several times, as Eco landscape changed. This culminated in a six figure cost saving in 2014 and more robust contracts, protecting British Gas from under/over delivery and poor quality installs.
