Introduction of revised working methods to improve workforce Safety

Providing support to KA joint bid for Wales & Borders Franchise including the transfer of current Network Rail Infrastructure on Cardiff Valley Lines to Transport for Wales. Provided input to ISTF responses relating to all aspects of Infrastructure Management. Bid was ultimately successful and award made June 2018

Major Workforce Safety improvement programme, aligned with Network Rail's published intent to eliminate workforce fatalities and serious injury by the end of CP5. Leading on safety Validation and, National Consultation and training co-ordination, the programme introduces Permit to work Technology and process for work on Network Rail infrastructure, including the new role of Safe Work Leader and other supporting competencies. The programme directly affects @20,000 industry employees nationally who will be trained in the new competencies, with a further @100,000 who will be working under the new arrangements.

Head of workforce Safety for the Network Operations workforce employed by Network Rail. Also responsible for the monitor, review, analysis and provision of MI for key compliance activity within the Network Operations Directorate of the company.

Provision of HR strategic support routine services to the Maintenance function of @18000 workforce. Lead HR on major restructure of 11500 front line workforce.

Responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of all maintenance, minor renewal and incident response on the railway infrastructure in the West Midlands and Chiltern Area.
