Application Engineering group that is responsible for a virtualized IMS core product and various virtualized application servers. The IMS and applications are targeted for RCS, VoWiFi and messaging services. The HSS and RMS (for RCS) were developed in-house. CSCFs and application servers are based on open source and vendor supplied applications. Servers are virtualized in a geo redundant vSphere environment. The HSS platform also serves as the base for iOS Entitlement server. Messaging platforms include SMS and MMS and a SIP enabled IP-SM-GW (gateway). Responsible for MRF and MRFC application servers in the production deployments. Servers are Centos and some Ubuntu. Main protocols targeted for troubleshooting are SIP, Diameter, MSRP and others as they arise (rtp, snmp, etc).

The interfaces used: Gx, Gy, Sy, ISC, Mg, Mr, Rf, Rx, Sh, etc. The system utilizing Groovy / Java scripting could manipulate almost any Diameter AVP as necessary. While this gave the system great flexibility it also created great complexity.F5 LTM (Local Traffic Manager) Load balance of server pools, configuration, testing and deployment.Majority of work was in Bell Mobility Canada LTE labs.
