My focus is on communicating to British Columbians, and corporations in BC, the rest of Canada, and the world, the extraordinary opportunity we have in our province to bridge our current carbon-based economy with a future renewables-based economy. We can do so by co-developing and integrating northeastern BC's tremendous renewable resource base (wind/hydro) with its bountiful natural gas reserves to produce much-needed, value-added, low- and reduced-carbon fuels, including hydrogen, methanol, dimethyl ether (DME) and gasoline. Blue Fuel Energy (bluefuelenergy.com) is working to make this happen at our 1000-plus acre site near Chetwynd, BC. Our elegant production process combines mature technology in unique ways that are eminently scalable. Fuels will be shipped to markets in western Canada and Asia using existing rail infrastructure. No major new pipelines are required. Heat from our process will heat hundreds of acres of greenhouses, generating entrepreneurial opportunities for First Nations and others in northeastern BC, and fresh organic produce for western Canada and beyond. Explaining our project to the world is a rewarding experience.
