As Group Executive, Alan is recognised as a true leader in the Financial Services industry. Alan was recruited by iSelect to build a successful business model incorporating a team of risk insurance advisers. Through this process Alan has not only delivered sales results, which see iSelect admired as one of the largest insurance operations nationally, but has created lead strategy programs, process mapping, as well as worked towards and exceeded the business operations profit margins. The strong growth achieved has lead to iSelect now owning and operating its own AFSL, for which Alan is the Responsible Officer.Over time, these results broadened Alan's portfolio and resulted in him being responsible for the General Insurance and Home Loans business units.

Alan's initial role was to assist with the construction of a business plan to see iSelect build a Life Insurance advice vertical. Once processes and system development was executed, Alan was the first to provide full insurance advice and sell life insurance products to the market.Over time the role evolved to planning, directing and managing business operations to achieve target sales and to maximise profit. The position also required Alan to provide consistent reviews and evaluation of profit margins, staff training etc. and the monitoring of overall staff and business performance. Another focal point was to develop and implement policies and procedures, monitor key performance indicators and have regular internal reviews to ensure the highest levels of compliance standards are delivered.

The purpose of this role was to provide specialist wealth management advice to Corporate and Business Services clients and increase the bank’s revenue generated through wealth management products. This was achieved by developing productive relationships with customers, referral partners and proactively offering advice to meet their needs. Ultimately, Alan was responsible for training referral partners to be able to identify quality referrals and converting those referrals into risk sales.Alan specialised in Business Risk & Personal Risk protection, including; Business Loan Protection, Key Person Protection & Business Succession Planning.
