Hired as head of Human Resources and reporting to the CEO and founder Elon Musk and sitting on the Executive team. I have been responsible for helping drive the explosive growth, associated change management and organization development activities of the company, hiring over 1,000 people in two years, managing a significant number of poorer performing employees out of the company and as a result taking our overall head-count to nearly 2.000 full-time employees. I built the HR and facilities functions from scratch. Today there is team of 20+ full time recruiters, global mobility capability, a solid Compensation and Benefits function with expert Employee Relations capabilities and a comprehensive Facilities and Construction department. We operate globally with Operations, Sales, Marketing and Service locations (stores) in 19 countries throughout North America, Europe and Asia. My role is to direct the HR Organization as it supports the business in all aspects of growth.

Managed a global workforce of 400+ employees based in many locations in the US and Europe.

Hired as the Director of HR for the Global Services division. With over 1,000 employees we maintain a network of Global Support Centers in five locations around the world. The goal of the function is to increase sales by accelerating technology pull through, and increasing customer loyalty. Key achievements include hiring the Executive team, helping them set and communicate the vision and plan to grow the business.I also lead an initiative to upgrade three of our key HR programs: Firstly, to review and redesign our performance management process. Secondly, to review our current orientation processes and thirdly to create an engaging and motivational global assimilation program.

Appointed to create and lead the Human Resources function for this early stage Silicon Valley start-up designing, manufacturing and marketing a solid-state file cache appliance. Working with the CEO and the Executive team we grew the company’s revenue from $2M in 1998 to $25M+ by year-end 2000. The company is still operational and profitable today.
