About Alan Christopher, Ph.D.

30+ years in sales and marketing, management, outdoor leadership, and education. I am an Associate Professor of Business Analytics at Wayland Baptist University, and an Adjunct professor for a number of other Universities, teaching Marketing, Social Media, Digital Marketing, Sales, Analytics and Public Relations.A tripod is the most stable form of support in engineering. My philosophy is built on a tripod of ideas:Above all, I value honesty and integrity in dealing with anyone I encounter. Honest relationships are the basis for a solid future for all concerned.As important is product knowledge and preparedness. Luck is when preparedness meets opportunity. Opportunity is being available when the phone rings. The third leg is follow up and service, service, service. A commitment to service must constantly be maintained for relationships to be maintained. Poor service is worse than no service at all.I teach online and on ground as an Adjunct Professor and Associate Professor. It's an exciting challenge being able to translate what I have learned in 30 years of relationship sales and marketing to this current generation of college kids. My observation is that their noses are so buried in their mobile devices that it's hard for them to create face to face relationships. That's what I hope to change in the classroom.
