I also coached, and did match duty for, the U14 Rugby 15.I would like to thank John Dutfield for being my mentor, and friend, during the year we worked together - my first ever boarding experience!Like many small independent schools at the time it was struggling and, unfortunately, it closed down in Aug 1993 leaving me redundant and homeless! This was an excellent school, on an excellent site, with excellent staff, but had been badly managed. It is a tragedy It is no longer functioning and I am not still working there.Luckily, my sales/marketing experience came to the fore and after several weeks of distributing CVs and networking, a temporary job offer came my way (ironically because another school had closed and Langley took on all of their Y11s). By October half term I was commuting weekly from Hampshire to Norfolk. By Christmas I was permanent and my family joined me on site in the summer. Show less
