I established The Indigo Lighthouse Group in 1998 and I am still involved in all aspects of the day-to-day management and leadership of the Company as well as fostering new and innovative ideas to keep the business at the forefront of its sector. I initially established the business after identifying a gap in the market to change contact lens retailing and as a result the ILG Contact Lens Management Programme was developed. Today, whilst this World Class Optical Loyalty Proposition is still core to the business, the business has developed and diversified to offer a range of other World Class services including the ILG Repeat Purchase Loyalty Programme as well as a fully integrated end-to-end Business Process Outsourcing platform that supports traditional bricks and mortar businesses as well as e-retailers.Prior to founding The Indigo Lighthouse Group, in 1992 I established and developed his own National chain of optical retail outlets called Opto Total Eyecare. In 1996 The Opto business was purchased by The Dolland & Aitchison Opticians Group, the UK second largest at the time, and I joined them for a period of time as a main board Director before concentrating his efforts to develop The Indigo Lighthouse Group.I hold a BSc in Optometry from Glasgow Caledonian University and I was honoured to be recognized at the Glasgow Caledonian University 2013 Alumni Achievement Awards for academic excellence and services to the optical sector.
