An artist and colourist with over 30 years of experience. Became a freelance artist after meeting Angus Mckie at Newcastle University. Angus introduced me to the London based artist's agency Arena. I was commissioned by many book publishers including; Penguin, Sphere, Corgi and New English Library. Other work included covers for Egmont (London Editions) the Super Heroes monthly, video covers, magazine cover illustration, children’s books (covers mainly), and computer game covers. Also some film work the Heavy Metal movie (with Angus Mckie) and TV work (for Tyne Tees the local ITV company and the BBC). I did a series of SF/Fantasy paintings for the investigative BBC Panorama programme debunking the Scientology Cult created by L Ron Hubbard.In 1992 after producing a portfolio of digital art Angus and I were asked by Dave Gibbons to colour the line art for his upcoming graphic novel series 'Martha Washington' written by Frank Miller. On completion I was asked to do Neil Gaiman's 'Mr Hero' for Techno Comix. I also found work in the UK colouring Judge Dredd in 2000AD and Action Man, first for Northern and Shell and then Marvel UK. My work for Fleetway/IPC also included Cartoon Network. To complete all of this work to deadlines I trained up a small team to help.I also coloured the Doctor Who strip in the Radio Times. Robot Wars, the Tweenies and FBX magazine for BBC Worldwide. Doctor Who's Battles in Time for GE Fabbri.I have also produced Disney and Star Wars work for a local licensee. When Marvel UK changed to Panini I continued with Action Man and also did Spider-Man Adventures, Wickid, Sindy and Digimon. More recently I also began working for Eaglemoss on Jackie Chan Adventures, Spider-Man Heroes and Villains, the Marvel and DC figurine collections and Batman Automobilia.I am currently working on Doctor Who Adventures for BBC Worldwide/Immediate Media and special projects for Eaglemoss.
