As Director of R&D my role is to lead research and development, quality control and analytical services for 2 manufacturing sites in the specialty chemical division of CPS Performance Materials. This includes evaluating all new projects for technical fit, determine manufacturing capabilities required, selecting manufacturing site for projects, build manufacturing costing models for quoting, leading R&D and analytical team during the process development phase and maintaining project timelines for engineering. This included developing analytical methods, writing SOP’s and training QC, writing project reports, leading the technology transfer to engineering process, and leading the process scale-up in production.
