People find me to be a self-motivated team player, with excellent communication skills. I recently concluded a 34-year career with the US Department of the Treasury. The first 24 of those years were with the IRS, as a tax examiner, representing the government's interests. In that capacity, I researched, analyzed, and resolved taxpayer-initiated inquiries and claims. The last 10 years, I worked for the Taxpayer Advocate Service (TAS), representing the public's interests. In that capacity, I helped taxpayers who were in extreme hardship situations, to ensure that their issues were moved to the first on the line, and that the IRS resolved them to the client's satisfaction.As one of my team's highest producers, and with my having the ability to communicate professionally with clients, co-workers, and all levels of management, it allowed us to exceed our 90% accuracy goals and move the needle on the Customer Satisfaction Rating from 85 to 93% in five year's time. I also maintained the highest efficiency rating for the last 20 consecutive years of my government employment. I was promoted to a Lead Tax Examiner position and placed in charge of 10 tax examiners, and was also asked to be an On-the-Job Trainer (OJT Coach) on 10 different occasions. I know I can bring that same level of commitment and work ethic to any organization I'm associated with.
