I was responsible for ensuring that the Customs Declaration Service continues to evolve to become the strategic customs platform for the UK. This includes the delivery of essential functional requirements to ensure that CDS can replace CHIEF for imports and exports into GB, as well as the non-functional and performance enhancements that ensure the service is robust and fault-tolerant, and that it can process the expected level of customs declarations post-EU exit.

I led for BTS on business planning and risk management, performance management, organisation design and development and commercial management of suppliers.

The role included the business management of IT service including reporting, performance, risk, planning and quality management. It was also concerned with spreading best practice and service improvement.

Responsible for desktop support to 6500 NBS staff. Managed a team of 29 across 14+ sites supporting a 24/7 operation
