Lifelong learner, but I don't mind taking a break from my studies to work at a job. And I mean a lifelong learner in the academic sense - weaving in python studies between lunch breaks while working in education, reading math textbooks and taking online courses on SQL, R, or illustration outside of work. Even on things that do not mandate the critical nature of study, subjects that stay in the realm of leisure like art or chess I end up treating all the same.It should then, be partially to my chagrin that I must sit down and specialize in preparation for the rest of my life - something that my time as an academic coach or teacher's assistant let me get away with (there's always academic value in being able to educate students in subjects they be passionate in, but not a class for), but my career goals are simple, and have never been tied with my jack of all trades nature: let me do math. Many of my interests tug at the same core values that make math so alluring or repugnant to others for a reason.Be it assisting in teaching the entire K-12 spectrum of math to high school students to the largely unappealing task of data entry or analyzing data sets, math is math. And math makes me happy. All this to say, you've got the right person if you're looking to hire from the subset of the population fitting the STEAM major archetype and the desire to grow in any direction you so choose.
