Worked at Serco metrolink from 2001 up until stagecoach took over in 2007. Covering various opportunities from customer service to ticket inspecting. Flitted from job to job until I settled again as a bus driver from 2008 until my heart failure in 2012. Because I had a defibrillator fitted dvla took away my psv licence. Finding myself out of work for the first time in 30yrs. I decided to volunteer for the fire brigade. At that time I also applied for a level 2 course in Teaching and learning at Tameside college. At the same time re doing my gcse maths and English courses. I passed all 3 in 2014. Then fell lucky working at a behavioural school that offered me the opportunity to study at the same time for my level 3 diploma in Teaching and Learning as well as gaining experience working with Under privileged children. I absolutely loved it but again because of my heart history I was unable to use my team teach skills I had learnt so therefore had to look for other employment. I had the privilege of working at a school in whalley range. With a year 2/3 boy with autism until again my health got the better of me. I have now been out of work since April 2017. Took on the role of chair of governors at a local school mid 2017 mainly to keep me busy.
