I have approximately 13 years experience in corrections. The easiest way i have found to survive in this field is by have exceptional interpersonal communication skills as well as being a fast learner. In my time as a correctional officer I have gone through and become an instructor for Defensive Tactics so that i personally can better not only myself but also my coworkers and teammates. This set of skills has helped my build my knowledge of the business and promote up to Lieutenant today. I apply this skill set to everything I do so I can overcome challenges and be the best at what is presented in front of me. I am a very fast learner as well as dedicated to what I do.
