I began this role in April 2023 as part of one of my third year modules. I spent six months working in Hollister, in which allowed me to gain great experience in the medical device industry. I shadowed a project engineer throughout the duration of my role, where I was given great responsibility in many different areas of engineering work. I was introduced to engineering documentation such as project charters, URS, etc.

I was promoted to this role in June 2020, as management felt it was necessary to introduce me into an engineering environment and allow me the opportunity to shadow electricians and engineers in the maintenance department. I was given great hands on experience including, mould changeovers, maintenance repair, PAT testing, Welding, workstation safety upgrades, etc.

I began my role as a production line operator in Schutz in the summer of 2018, after undertaking work experience in the February beforehand. I was given in-depth training on all of the machine fabrication equipment. I finished in this role in June 2020, where I was promoted to Student Maintenance Engineer. Management felt that it would be beneficial to introduce me into an engineering environment, as this was the field I was studying in.
