Senior Site Manager
CurrentI commenced employment with the company as Plant Manager of the Waste Incinerator. My duties involved ensuring all essential parts were kept to the required levels, planning and dealing with all manpower issues, working with/overseeing contractors and ensuring that the plant operated within the limits set by regulatory bodies. I also maintained and kept up to date the preventative maintenance programme whilst reporting maintenance issues to the General Manager in a monthly report. I assisted the General Manager in managing transport issues, health and safety and planning waste movements.In June 2004 I was promoted to the position of General Manager/Senior Site Manager and whilst overseeing the above duties by the Plant Manager, I was also responsible for the following. • The upkeep of the Profit and Loss account. • Planning and setting the sites budget and ensuring targets are achieved. • Planning waste movements in and from the site, including customer collections and deliveries. • Negotiating with outside contractors and trying to gain the best level of service for the lowest price possible, without compromising safety. • I am responsible for all Health and Safety matters at site, including reviewing site procedures, risk assessments and hazard identifications.• I am responsible for producing performance reports including KPI’s, health and safety, transport reports for my Direct Line Manager. • I monitor throughput performance against capacity and seek to improve all areas of the process. • Attend group management meetings; meet with customers and regulatory bodies. • Maintain the company Quality Assurance System. • I am responsible for all training issues of plant personnel. • I am responsible for Human Resource issues regarding my workforce.
