Alan is a renowned choreographer of national and international reputation who has created over 60 professional productions. Greig’s work is rich in collaboration with writers, lighting designers and specially commissioned sound scores. His choreography has explored a wide variety of subjects, drawing inspiration from movies, TV shows, books, music and the complexities of emotional and sexual relationships. His works are visually compelling and entertaining, using comedy, music and spoken word text.Alan has been teaching professionally since 1986 and has taught thousands of students across a wide spectrum of ages and abilities including the youth organisations, undergraduate dancers and actors, disabled performers, professional companies and community groups. His workshops are tailored to meet the specific demands and needs of the client group and can offer 90-minute technique classes, two hour creative workshops, half and full day workshops, professional masterclass and week-long residencies. His technique class is Cunningham based and incorporates elements of Nikolais theories. The classes emphasise precision, balance, alignment, clarity and fluidity of movement.
