Being a US business, I've had to quickly learn ASP.Net and the system is indeed developed using; MVC CORE 2.2 , MSSQL (TSQL) with LINQ and a Bootstrap, JQuery and Kendo Telerik (for ASP NET CORE) front end.

Based at this FTSE 250 companies corporate head office. I work in a small group of 15 developers developing and supporting the group’s in house contract to bill software. The system is constructed with a HTML & VbScript front end with a Progress (4GL) database (Progress Webspeed). I proud to advise I’ve been a key part of many development projects over my time at Rentokil-Initial.

This development role required me to work in RAM’s Transport and logistics department who’s specialist business critical asset management software carefully controls the movements shipping and tank containers for some of the worlds biggest container companies. I typically worked on the support desk where I would be required to identify and resolve software bugs and to produce a specification for system enhancements.

This varied role incorporated a different side of IT which I have not been used to. I undertook this role because I wanted to increase my knowledge of the hardware/server side of IT and to gain new skills in this field. This role was very varied from development of bespoke applications in VB6 (SQL Server) to helpdesk operator providing 1st line support for Soft design’s outsourcing companies. My role also required me based in the field completing ‘Managed Service Visits’ for clients across the UK.

I joined TTA in 2000 as a Administrator, Over the years I progressed through the company and left in 2004 to focus my attention on my final year at university. In my final role I was given the responsibility of co-ordinating the implementation of Profit BMS, a bespoke management information system created for use by the members of the association to manage their bookings. My duties included creating and undertaken training of users both members and association staff, training was often merged with installation of the system at the members premises. During BETA testing I was also largely responsible for ensuring all other accompanying systems (i.e support systems) where created and implemented correctly including integration with other existing in-house systems. I was responsible for the eventual running of all support systems and assigning duties for three support staff. I also frequently reported further user requirements during this stage as insufficient requirements analysis was completed.
