A Senior Risk Manager with over twenty years experience in the financial sector, with exposure across the various asset classes and analytical functions within the bank. With a strong analytical and technical background that has been enhanced by business exposure. With significant experience across Basel II and subsequently related regulation is recognised by peers as a technical expert on the topic. I joined Bank of Scotland in 1994 as a Graduate Trainee, following completion of a Degree in Mathematics. I spent time working in the Branch network and then Retail Marketing department as a data analyst before moving to Corporate Division Portfolio Management to work on spectrum of Basel II activities including policy and model development. As a result of my success in this role I was recruited into the HBOS Group Basel team which led me to work on all credit developments and major regulatory change programmes. As the Basel project transitioned to business as usual I moved into a stakeholder leadership role within HBOS Group Credit Analytics. Following the creation of Lloyds Banking Group I took on the role of establishing and leading the Model Governance team within the newly created Wealth and International Division.
