I lead a highly qualified Safety Management Team of experienced CDM Co-ordinators, health and safety advisers and consultants delivering:Construction safety solutions for major projects, either as part of the WYG team, delivering the complete project, or stand alone;Specialist health and safety consultancy to blue chip and public sector clients, delivering training, risk assessment, DSEAR and incident management;Providing "Competent Person" advice, both nationally and internationally;Fire safety compliance.

National Role

A brand new role, with a family owned FM and support company, delivering Health & Safety, Fire, Environmental, Food Safety, and building solutions to our client base and externally.Set up the foundations for service delivery and buisness development, creating a sound basis for rapid growth through internal lead generation and cross selling.Delivered solutions in the legal and hospitality scetors.

National Role

Transferred to Connaught Compliance Ltd (CCL), following its purchase of National Britannia, joining the Advisory Services Board. Consultancy includes health & safety, construction health & safety, fire safety, environmental, disabled access and food safety solutions, to a broad range of multi-sited blue chip clients. Core sectors being property, finance, manufacturing, retail and healthcare.Responsible for significant revenue at 53% gross profit and 22% EBITA, with 75 consultants and sales team. Worked in partnerships with a leading accountancy firm to deliver significant cost of sale savings and margin improvement, dealing with revenue leakage, improved utilisation, smart scheduling and use of a flexible cost base. Growth in the contract revenue and total spend per client, through the introduction of additional services. Work in close collaboration with asbestos, electrical, gas, and water safety business units to delivered bundled solutions.

Appointed to the Management Board, working with West Private Equity,, later Lyceum Capital, to dramatically grow the business during the final 2 year period, prior to sale. Consultancy services included: health & safety, fire, water, DDA, training, construction health & safety, environmental and food safety services to a wide client base. My main achievements were:• Formulate a successful business plan and strategy for approval by our investors, identify new services and market opportunity, resulting in a strong budget• Revenue growth from £4M to £8M at sale• Managed the P&L and KPI’s against target. Responsible for the management of a team of 96 field based Environmental Health, Fire Safety and Water Safety Consultants, grouped into teams, each headed by an Operations Manager. Also for the Business Development and Administration Teams.• Integrated new acquisitions into the company, Safety Works, HMS, EH & SS.• Took part in the due diligence and a search for suitable acquisitions.• Researched, recruited and grown the Fire Safety Consultancy, when the changes in fire safety legislation were drafted.• Developed a strong management team, operating their own P&L.• Oversee the technical development of health and safety services and management systems. Develop relationships with clients in the property, finance, insurance, public and SME sectors.• Approved completed tenders and contracts. • Oversee the mobilisation of national audit programmes, particularly non-food retail, banking and NHS Trusts.• Ensure our ISO 9001 accreditation for management systems are maintained.
