I started my shop in 2004 by doing the work I did for my previous employer until they went out of business, my customer base has grown by word of mouth and I don't make promises I know I can't keep. My reputation has grown from my quality and my on time work.I do everything from sweep the floor to send out the invoice in my shop, my primary specialty is CNC turning and hard turning/boring, but definitely not limited to, I also precision surface/form grind and CNC mill as well. I program with BOBCAD CAD/CAM software and can open just about any electronic file that is sent to me.I do all the quoting myself as well, all the inspection, all the sub-contracting, everything that goes through my door and to the customer has my name on it and I expect it to be perfect. Mostly because my shop is small and I am doing all the work, but when I don't, I'm still checking it as if I did do it. I feel in this business one bad job can cost you so I make sure every job is good every time, and I don't try to hide nothing.I primarily manufacture custom tooling and components for the plastic injection molding industry, but not limited to it.

C.N.C. Lathe, Wire EDM, Grinder Specialist was my primary duties while at Reitz Tool, I tried to always do at least two of the three jobs at the same time all the time, as well as keeping the wire EDM's running unattended in the evenings and weekends. I did a lot of grinding as well, precision surface grinding / form grinding all tool steels, coppers, and carbides to tolerances of .00005. I did all the CNC turning and hard turning/boring holding tolerances to .0002. I made electrodes from graphite, copper impregnated graphite, and copper for the sinker E.D.M's with various overburn built into the geometry for rougher and finisher electrodes. I did all my own CNC programming on MasterCam CAD/CAM software.

I was a grinder specialist, form grinding all types of tool steels and carbide to tolerances of .0002. I also did a lot of work on the manual lathes and mills, training new employees in the trade, and was a go to person when people had questions. I made electrodes for the sinker E.D.M.'s with overburn built into the geometry for rougher and finisher electrodes.

I was a CNC vertical lathe operator, I worked on a 48", a 52", and a 60". The programs were already written by a programmer, but we as operators at Joy only ran 2-4 pc orders, so we had to constantly set-up the machines for different jobs. I had previous programming experience so I always tweaked the programs to get better cycle times with the latest tooling.When things slowed down I also had to move in departments and work on a manual bed mill and a radial arm drill press.I also received my forklift drivers license while I worked at Joy.

CNC lathe operator running production to start, then they made me a set-up person, then they added more responsibility and taught me CNC maintenance, then my boss said I was quick learner and asked if I was interested in learning programming, next thing was added, I learned programming, long hand. When I started working for this company I was just a young farm boy that didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, truth to be known, if it wasn't for this company giving me a chance I wouldn't be where I am today.
