Duties include - Ensure that all operational elements of the EFS business meet with high standards of HSE at all times.Promote and develop EFS Global Culture of Zero Accidents philosophy and culture, by implementing Behavioural Based Systems at Site Level.Provide allocated sites and contracts, support and guidance in interpreting statutory requirements and the implementation of the EFS IMS SystemCompliance Audits and accident investigations to ensure statutory and company compliance with IMSProduce comprehensive accident investigation reports to contract management and the business which highlights root causes and effective control measuresDevelop existing behavioural Safety Culture within the businessAdvise contract management on all Health and Safety Legal requirements that effect the business operationPromote continuous improvement for all HSQE requirements, ensuring compliance with legislation and company HSE policies is maintained.Implement corporate HSQE requirements, initiatives & objectives to all associated BU operational activitiesAssist with the development, maintenance & execution of training programs.Managing and tracking corporate sustainability goals and metrics for the businessDeveloping key performance indicators and meeting the overall corporate sustainability goals. Preparing yearly summary of goals and achievements and assisting in development of an end of year performance report.Co-ordinate and deliver Health & Safety trainingCarry out audits of EFS sites and operations within the portfolio, to monitor, correct and maintain high levels of HSE awareness and complianceDevelopment of site-specific procedures and documentation to control work and manage risk of all operational activities.Support operational managers to meet their Key Performance Indicators outlined within the site specific HSQE Plans.Maintain and promote compliance to all H&S legislation, EFS policy and professional associations codes of practise

Whilst in this post I have worked on numerous multi-million pound projects where I have been responsible for the on-site Health, Safety and Environmental management of direct employees and sub-contractors. My duties include;• Implementation and achievement of QHSE standards in accordance with company Management System (9001, 14001 and 18001 accredited), UK legislation and any additional client requirements.• Liaising and managing relationships with numerous clients, subcontractors and competitors across the power generation and heavy engineering business sectors.• Developing and continuous improvement of management systems and procedures.• Supporting engagement and alignment to strategic objectives.• Driving improvements in QHSE performance through various methods, such as job risk analysis, audits, training and behavioural safety programs.• Conducting proactive safety measures, such as QHSE audits and inspections on management systems and at the workface.• Conducting reactive safety measures, such as investigation of all reported incidents, accidents and near misses.• Supporting, training and guiding the workforce.• Providing day-to-day QHSE support and guidance to sites.• Preparation, creation, review and approval of QHSE documents.• HAZID Chairperson / Facilitator.
