From starting as Mechanical Apprentice with the UKAEA in the workshops I have progressed to Design Draughtsman, Senior Designer, Principal Designer, CAD Manager, Principal Applications Engineer, Lead Engineer, Chief Engineer (My current Role)I have gained a variety of experience which has included prestigious projects such as THORPE, Sellafield, Sizewell 'B' Nuclear power station. Hibernia Gravity Base Structure, Newfoundland and many Onshore downstream Oil and Gas And Petrochemical projects, including both Reliance Industries JERP and SEZ, world scale refinery and chemical plants.I have over 34 years working experience and have worked for a variety of organisations including UKAEA, BNFL, Nuclear Design Associates, Sir Robert McAlpine, John Brown Engineering, Doris Engineering, Bechtel Corporation and Amec Foster Wheeler.I have generally been in a supervisory capacity for over 25 years.Currently Lead Engineer on a large Saudi Aramco FEED Project.I have excellent computer skills and a key focus is to constantly assess our work processes, incorporating improvements to ensure client satisfaction and successful project execution. This is substantiated with a yellow belt Six Sigma award gained in 2007.I really enjoy working for a vibrant organisation that constantly strives to grow and develop and with the new organisation, Wood, the future looks very positive in this respect.
