Skills include interviewing, gathering business requirements, writing use cases and producing mock-ups and quality software designs. I’ve worked in other roles: project manager, trainer, technical writer and consultant. For ten years I worked as senior developer and business analyst for Brasfield & Gorrie, a large general contractor with gross revenues of over two billion dollars. In 2010 the CIO at Computer Guidance invited me to Arizona to build and lead a business analyst group. CGC had a significant development project backlog. We soon reduced it to manageable levels. Computer Guidance customers subsidize software enhancements. Working with customers, I defined project vision, business needs and functional requirements. Working with senior developers for the target application, I estimated time and resources needed to deliver software requested, then wrote and delivered customer quotes.Experience includes payroll interface development and field entry using androids, tablets and other hand-held devices. I’ve also completed several successful EIT compliance projects, most recently Pennsylvania Act 32.I wrote detailed specifications including database changes and any mock-ups necessary. Before scheduling development, my specifications were approved by both our CIO and the customer. Accepted quotes ranged upwards of $75,000.I also act as an internal consultant and project facilitator. I frequently assist department heads and senior executives, often accepting responsibilities that would have required a manager's attention. My willingness to put out fires, answer questions and manage expectations often saved him much valuable time and energy.
