Experienced Retailer who over the years has held many Senior positions both in the field and within a Head Office environment.I am presently the Head of Retail Operations for the Radstock Co-operative having previously been on an Interim contract working for the Commercial Director at the Co-operative Group supporting the Commercial team in profit improvement. Primarily this is being achieved by a reduction in known wastage in excess of 20% and developing the "stock exit management" system to reduce the costs of non ranged stock clearance through range reviews, non ranged promotional exit, clearance of old legacy stock ( all non ranged in store), refits etc.Prior to this as the Ratil Operations Director l headed a Retail business that tripled its bottom line profit through leading a team of Regional Operations Manager's through change and developing their retail skills in stores spanning from Aberdeen to Portsmouth.Working closely with the central team to drive the offer,range and price and delivering new way's of working and embedding those best practices as a way of working.Retail team was disbanded at the end of the year and stores moved back to the Catering team. Expert in fixing the leakage of profit through poor controls in Shrinkage and wastage.Roles prior to this include Divisional Executive in Somerset/Dorset, Store manager of stores from 2,000 sq.ft - 60,000 sq.ft with turnover up to £30m p/a, Buying Project Manager, Facilitator/Course Director in the Gateway Academy, Store Format team Manager, EPOS co-ordinator and Store refit Manager.
